My favourite activity at Ben's

There are three parts to the Ben’s Biltong business. There’s the wholesale element which involves the supply of biltong and droewors to butchers, farm shops, deli’s and pubs. There’s the internet side of the business, where people can buy my products online and have them delivered throughout the UK. And lastly, there’s my favourite part of the business, my market stall, which gives me a chance to meet customers and share my love of South African snack food!

Now that Spring is here, I am really excited to be back at markets and festivals showcasing my range of biltong and droewors. I have lots of events booked throughout the midlands and surrounding counties over the next 6 months and can’t wait to catch up with people to talk about my products.

I love meeting expat South Africans and talking about their love of biltong and droewors. It’s always interesting to hear their thoughts on my versions of the snack food many of them grew up with. I especially love it when they tell me it’s the best they’ve tasted outside South Africa.

I also get a real kick out of introducing new people to biltong and droewors and talking about the process of making them. Many have never heard of these products before but, after trying them, often become converts and go on to become regular purchasers.

Finally, I love seeing and chatting to returning customers, many of whom, even though they can buy the products online, will travel to see me. I can’t thank you guys enough for your ongoing support.
